GAYA WIE는 제품의 쓰임과 예술품의 조형미를 접목시킨 작업을 하고 있습니다. 공예를 바탕으로 주로 가방을 연구하고 있습니다. 한국 한옥과 전통예술에서 영감을 얻어, 전통적 소재가 현대 일상생활에서 조화롭게 어울릴 수 있도록 데일리로 사용이 가능한 제품을 제작합니다. 주 디자인 주제는 한옥과 목가구 입니다. 사용하기 편리한 기능과 우아한 조형미로 전시뿐만이 아닌 만질수록 좋고 오래도록 일상생활에서 쓰일 수 있는 작품을 제작하고자 합니다. 

GAYA WIE bags are mainly designed based on the inspiration I got from the Korean traditional architecture 'HANOK' and wooden furniture inside it. 

I study art piece to be used in daily life with its sculptural artistic touch as well as practicality. 

The overall design concept for GAYA WIE handbags is elegance, simplicity and most of all, practicality. 

I aim to provide people with the stronger attachment and ownership to their bags with unique details particularly designed for users’ convenience and fashion. 

I also aim to produce design that can carry both traditional and modern lifestyle.
